Kelly Is Looking Different These Days...

Something wrong here? On the left is Kelly Clarkson on the cover of Self Magazine. On the right is Kelly performing at a concert. Was Kelly Clarkson photoshopped dramatically on the cover? Granted, every picture is photoshopped, but some pictures can be overly photoshopped. The interview talked about how she was confident with her weight, and then they do that on the cover? That's not sending the right message. She told the mag, "My happy weight changes. Sometimes I eat more; sometimes I play more. I'll be different sizes all the time." She also went on to say ""When people talk about my weight, I'm like, 'You seem to have a problem with it; I don't ... I'm fine! I've never felt uncomfortable on the red carpet or anything." I don't know what you think, but i believe Kelly Clarkson looks fine the way she is, and the magazine cover is obviously photoshopped.

Movie Pick of The Week August 13th,

Movie Pick of The Week
The Time Traveler's Wife

Starring: Eric Bana, Rachel McAdams, Ron Livingston
Directed By: Robert Schwentke

Based on the book by Audrey Niffenegger

Based on the premise of the book, a Chicago librarian played by Bana, has a genetic disorder that causes him to travel when he is stressed. He may disappear for long periods of time, but he tries to build a romantic relationship with Clare Abshire who is an artist, played by Rachel McAdams. This movie looks amazing just based on the trailer. They're both amazing actors, and I think the movie will do the book justice.

Miley Hits The Pole

During the Teen Choice Awards, on August 10th, 2009, Miley performed her hit single Party In The U.S.A. After the performance she was met with negative reviews for her "pole dancing". Frankly, I did not see any "dancing". All i saw was a 16 year old girl on top of an ice cream cart holding on to a pole. She did one risque move, but even that was hardly anything. Critics are blowing her "pole dancing" way out of proportion. Granted, was "pole dancing" the smartest thing to do at a children's program show? No. But she isn't all to blame. She does have choreographers. I think Miley takes alot of blame for alot of things she does, and it needs to end. She is 16 years old, and teenagers have a free right to do whatever they want. Just because you're "Hannah Montana" does that mean you need to walk around with a halo? Critics need to leave her alone, because she hardly did anything that could be sparked as inappropriate. Move onto celebrities who actually do something wrong. The picture is the "risque" move that I was talking about, and even that is hardly worth mentioning. I won't be like Chris Crocker, and tell you to "LEAVE MILEY ALONE", but i do feel she gets hounded way too much, and it needs to come to an end. I personally am a huge fan of her, and sure, I could be a bit bias. But, Miley can't stay a young girl forever. She needs to spread her wings and fly. Everytime she tries to fly, we have her crash down the next minute. Let her be the person she wants to be. If you or your children find something wrong with it, maybe Miley isn't the role model you were looking for. But Miley Cyrus is a true role model who needs to be left alone.
